Many single-storey rear extensions fall under Permitted Development — no planning permission needed up to 3m on a semi-detached or 4m on a detached house. The Neighbour Consultation Scheme allows up to 8m. We check your specific situation at the site visit and handle any required applications.
Can I stay in my home during the build?
Yes, in most cases. The main disruption is when we break through the rear wall to connect the new space — we schedule this carefully, board up openings overnight, and keep the site tidy every day.
How long does a rear extension take?
10–14 weeks on site for a single-storey rear extension. Double-storey takes 14–20 weeks. We give you a fixed programme with a confirmed start date before work begins.
Do you supply and fit the kitchen too?
Yes — we build the extension and supply and fit the kitchen through our own supply chain, direct from the manufacturer. One team, one contract, no separate tradespeople to coordinate. You typically get a better kitchen for the same budget.
